Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, Maldives, boasts some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, 360-degrees of coral reef and turquoise lagoon, pearly white sandy beaches and lush green vegetation. On February 6, 2012, the island welcomes the opening of Dusit Thani Maldives, a luxurious 100-villa resort and spa.
Dusit Thani Maldives is 35-minutes by seaplane from the capital Malé. Maldivian architecture is weaved with artistic Thai flair and each of the villas promotes ultimate relaxation. Dusit’s signature Devarana Spa sits above the coconut palm trees, the six treetop treatment pods claiming spectacular views.
The resort’s centerpiece is the expansive infinity swimming pool. The largest in the Maldives, the 750 square meter pool wraps around an ancient banyan tree. Many of the Beach Villas also come with private pool, but for complete indulgence the Lagoon Villas feature a private deck area and plunge pool with a combination of beach and lagoon access.
During the days dive amongst the sea turtles, manta rays and whale sharks living in the Baa Atoll, the first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve in the country, or simply snorkel the resort’s 360-degree living house reef just off shore. Encouraging sustainability, a the resort houses a live-in Marine Biologist.

The resort is approximately 35 minutes away from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport in the capital Male’ by seaplane. Dusit Thani Maldives will have a welcome lounge at the international airport for all our arrival guests.
