It doesn’t take long in this part of the world to be surrounded by talented people. Creativity oozes from every corner in this pumping town. I am, however, surprised it took us two months to finally meet the Mikey A.K.A ‘M. Jack Bee’, but I blame that on being insanely busy having babies, escaping farmland floods and chasing tubular swells.
It happened, though, and in true Surfer’s Eyes style our brief encounter with this exceptionally skilled musician was a merger of frying snags, excited kids, free beer and a very fine ocean fragrance.
There will be more coming on this young man in the future, but for now check out his most recent ramblings when good friend Johnny Abegg decided it was a good idea to leave a Whiskey drinking museo alone with film camera on the deck of one of Byron Bay’s last farm houses…
