El Mar, Mi Alma

El Mar, Mi Alma is a 16mm surf film and documentary in a two part series taking us on the journey of professional free surfer and environmentalist Dave Rastovich along the Chilean coastline.
A surf film like no other, Director Stephen Jones’ cine poetical odyssey gives a fervent look into Surfers for Cetaceans’ (S4C) visit to the International Whaling Commission Conference-60 in Santiago and subsequent environmental campaign where Dave, Howie Cooke and their team met with locals and officials discussing cetacean conservation and raising environmental awareness.
Supporting each other in surf and survival, Dave is accompanied by the world’s finest surfers including Joel Parkinson, Dane Ward, Chris Del Moro, Crystal Thornburg and Chileans Ramon Navarro, Diego medina and Cristian Merello.
The El Mar, Mi Alma Australian film tour launches in Byron Bay on Friday 18th November, playing around the coast all the way to Melbourne.
